Carl "Chalie" Nielsen, 82, of Mays Landing, NJ passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Born December 24, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, he is predeceased by his parents Bjarne & Anna Nielsen of Pennsauken, NJ and stepson Frank Juliano, Jr.
Chalie leaves behind his wife of 35 years Georgette (nee Donati), his children Cathy Kraus (Paul), Carla Harms (AJ), Carol Lynn Mannion (Joe), Carl Nielsen (Carol), his stepsons John Juliano, Mark Juliano (April), Gayle Fox (Joe).
Called Poppop by his grandchildren Salvatore Brenhuber (Kristen), Michelle McGowan (Conor), Allison Kraus (Will), Kelly Mannion (Nisheet), Jessica Mannion (Maggie), Mic Mannion (Sam), Carl Nielsen, Kathleen Nielsen, Emily Nielsen, John Michael Juliano (Danielle), Lauren Hibbs (Ethan), CJ Juliano, Audrey Juliano, Grace Juliano and great grandchildren Sebastian, Emily, Ryan, Madison, and Mackenzie. His cat Lila is already missing her early morning treats.
Always on the go, Chalie loved going to the casino and out to dinner. He enjoyed spending time at the Forsythe Wildlife Refuge and watching the hummingbirds on his porch. He was a fan of college football and the Eagles. But mostly he loved turkey dinners at home and a game of dominos with his friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Boakes Funeral Home 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ 08330 from 9:30am to 11:30am with a memorial service at 11:30am followed by a luncheon.
