Obituary for Christian C. Eckert Jr.
Christian Eckert Jr- 75, of Northfield, NJ, was called to heaven because something was probably broken and it needed to be fixed correctly. Chris passed after battling a lengthy illness surrounded by his family. Chris was born to Christian and Jennie Eckert (predeceased) on October 13 1944.
Chris is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 54 years Janet (Seabolt), his son Michael, his daughters Gina (Dominic) and Mindy (Christopher) Hough, Sisters Mary Jane Dumont and Patricia (Louis) Carr. His Fur Grandbaby’s Reba, Coal, Molly and Ozzy. His nieces Lisa (Jim), Dawn (Josh) Debbie (Glenn) and grand nieces and nephews, Concetta, Christian, Tyler, Gabby and Alex (Krista) along with the Great Grand nieces Kayley and Abby.
Chris worked at BL England for 22 years and Mack equipment for 20 years. He was the fixer of everything, no matter what it was. If you are going to fix it, do it right the first time, which meant triple checking everything. He enjoyed family brunches on Sundays, Going camping with his family and the camping club. But most of all he LOVED his family. He will be missed and loved everyday.
