Obituary for Clifford Lampson

Clifford Lampson 77, of Minotola, NJ was born on July 14, 1945, in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Norman R. Lampson, Sr. and Lena E. (Thomas) Lampson. He went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill, NJ.
Clifford (affectionately known as Cliff) attended the Atlantic City Public Schools. After graduation, he entered the United States Army and served our country in Vietnam. After serving in the Army, he joined the National Guard. Cliff served our nation for 23.5 years.
Cliff had various jobs over the years: He delivered lobsters up and down the coast; was a chauffeur with Orleans Company of PA. He was a lifelong member of Local 415 Laborers Union of Atlantic City and Local 222 of Camden, NJ. He took numerous classes at ACCC; was a substitute teacher at Texas Avenue School for a year and also taught at various other schools in Atlantic City.
Clifford met Cora Nixon in 1988 and they were married in July of 1990. He enjoyed his home, doing odd jobs and keeping his lawn manicured. Among his many hobbies, Cliff was an avid skier, tennis player and loved to roller skate. Cliff and Cora also liked to travel, cross country by train and internationally. Their last major trip was in 2018 when they visited Vietnam.
Clifford came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in September of 2005 and is a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He is predeceased by his parents Norman R. Sr. and Lena (Estelle) Lampson, brother Norman Jr. and sister-in-law Margaret (Ross) Lampson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Cora Lampson; sons Robert Lampson (Melissa); Damon K Lampson (Christine); Kenneth Nixon and daughter Toya Baker; brother Francis (Randy) Bell; sisters Eunice Mack, Lenora Lampson, Anna Goodloe (James) and Elsie Lampson; brothers-in-law Thomas (Maria), Neremiah (Nicole) and James Nixon; sisters-in-law Arlene and Ellean Nixon of (NYC) and Laverne Nixon (Killeen, TX) and grandchildren and Great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces and friends.
