Obituary for Debora Ann Holliday
Holliday, Debora Ann (nee Badger), age 56, passed away at Shore Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family on March 4, 2023.
Debbie was born in Somers Point at Shore Memorial. She grew up in Pleasantville and graduated from Holy Spirit High School in 1984. She then resided in Egg Harbor Township with her family. Debbie worked as a Claims Technical Expert for the Social Security Administration where she took great pride in her work. She worked there for over 31 years before retiring. She was also a member of Friendship Bible Protestant Church.
Anyone who knew Debbie knew how inquisitive she was, she wanted to get to know people, to truly understand how they were doing and what was going on in their lives—which is a testament to how caring she was. She was a very kindhearted, compassionate, and empathetic person who would go above and beyond to help others. She also could never fail to bring her unique sense of humor to any situation. She took immense joy in her family and also brought joy to all who were lucky to know her. She was a friend that anyone would be lucky to have.
She is survived by her husband Francis, her sons lan (Jessica), Jared, and her daughter Alyssa. She is also survived by her parents, Kenneth and June Badger, her sister, Cindy, and brother Kenneth, Jr (Christine). Her nieces Breana, Emily, and Rebecca Badger. She was loved so very much and is going to be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 am at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ 08330, with a service at 11:00 am. Burial immediately following at Asbury Cemetery, 290 Asbury Road, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.
