Edward A. Valentino Sr. “Eddie Getty” 83 years old, born in Hammonton, New Jersey May 20, 1937, passed away at home on October 23, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Preceded in death by his parents Frank & Letitia Valentino, his brother Francis, sister Rita, brother Albert, son Wayne, and granddaughter Carly. Eddie is survived by his son Edward Jr., daughter Janine, son Scott and his wife Jacqueline, along with grandchildren Alyx, Erika, Tyler, and Annaliese, and great grandson Ryan. He is also survived by extended family Kim Corey, Chad Surig, Trevor Corey, as well as many loving nieces & nephews.

Eddie’s love for cars led him to a career in auto mechanics. Eddie opened his own service station in Egg Harbor City known as Eddie’s Getty. After growing tired of turning wrenches, Eddie switched careers mid-life and pursued a career in landscaping and irrigation.

Eddie loved being outside and watching sports on TV, and especially his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoyed betting, whether it was in the casino or on the horses.

More than anything Eddie loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren & great grandchild.
