Obituary for Jacob D. Doerr
Jacob “Jake” Doerr was born October 20, 1989 in Somers Point, New Jersey. He passed away March 12, 2023 and is eternally 33 years young, and forever irreplaceable.
Jake is survived by his parents, Danny and Viviana (DeCesare) Doerr; his younger sister Rachel; his partner Amanda Petrunis; 4 dogs, Stackz, Chop, Tac, and Lila; 2 cats, Tiger Ma and Fox; and surviving relatives, Silvana Mitros and Filippo DeCesare. Jake is predeceased by his grandparents who he loved dearly, Giacomo and Maria DeCesare, and George and Gerlinde Doerr.
He was a graduate of Millville High School, and worked endlessly as an entrepreneur; truly living life the way he wanted.
Jake was passionate about sports, spending seasons as a Sixers season ticket holder. He spent every Sunday in the fall watching the Atlanta Falcons. He traveled the country, lived in Florida and Philadelphia, and lived his life to the absolute fullest. Jake was the brightest soul in any room he was in, and changed the trajectory of every life he entered. No amount of words can describe how much he will be missed. He will be with us forever, plus one.
A private service will be held in Somers Point, NJ to celebrate his life the way he would want.
