Obituary for Janice K. Heck

Janice Heck, 79, of Mays Landing, NJ passed away December 2, 2020 at AtlantiCare after a 12 day battle with the covid virus.

Jan was born and raised in Vineland, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Adam and Ellen Kroelinger.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth. She was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers, and is survived by brother William Kroelinger (SC); sisters Beverley Brown (Ocean City, NJ) and Judie Rush (SC); daughters Rachel Thorpe (AZ), Lisa Senter (CA), Kim Ferrari (CA), Amanda Heck (CO), and Cassandra Heck (NE), as well as 10 grandchildren.

Jan held three masters degrees and was a principal in four elementary schools in Alaska for 10 years and for the Hong Kong International School for 7 years.

She also was a writer having published three books, two of which were nominated for national awards. Jan was a beautiful, remarkable, and accomplished person who was devoted to her family and her faith.

Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
