Obituary for Jeffrey James Bolf Sr.

Jeffrey James Bolf, Sr. (Golfrey) (Pop), 64, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey departed from this world unexpectedly from a heart attack, on January 3, 2023.

Jeff was born in Somers Point, New Jersey to James Peter and Eva K. Bolf (Ketschek) (predeceased) and was raised in Pleasantville, NJ all of his childhood life.

Jeff was a dedicated friend, husband, father, brother, uncle and pop. He was retired and had worked for New Jersey Department of Transportation for most of his working career. He was a 1978 Holy Spirit High School Graduate. Jeff was a huge hockey fan. He loved everything about it, from playing it, to watching it and it didn’t matter what kind of hockey. His favorite team of course was none other than the Philadelphia Flyers and his favorite goalie of all time was #1 Bernie Parent. His dream was to someday meet Bernie and guess what, he did. I don’t think I have ever seen him happier in all his life (besides when his children and grandchildren were born). Jeff played goalie for many years at the Pleasantville street hockey courts. He had so many cherished memories with so many people, whom I am unable to mention, since there were too many to mention and I fear that I would miss someone’s name. Well, you all know who you are.

The highlight of Jeff’s adult life was his 2 children and 5 grandchildren. He loved spending time and doing everything with them, including boating, crabbing, camping, tubing, and celebrating every occasion. He loved nature and would quite often take nature walks with his children and grandchildren. In all the years that his son Jeffrey played hockey, I don’t believe that he ever missed a single game. He was his son, Jeffrey’s biggest fan and his daughter, Chelsea’s biggest supporter. He stood by her side and helped by watching his grandchildren so she could make the time for her college education, towards her career goals.

All in all, it’s obvious that Jeff played a big part in all of our lives in one way or another. This is a huge loss to our family and friends. He will be missed by us all.

Jeff is survived by his former wife, Michelle A. DiPaolo (Brian Milburn); his son, Jeffrey J. Bolf, Jr. (Tonya Pestritto); his daughter Chelsea G. Bolf (children with Chris Dixon Sr.); and his five grandchildren, Christopher, StacyLynn, Kinnley, Jeffrey and Carter. His Siblings; Linda Brenner, Michael Bolf (Robin), James P. Bolf (Barbara) and Kathy Louderback (John).
He is also survived by many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ 08330 from 10:30 am -12:00 pm with reflections at 12:00 pm.
