Obituary for Jolene A. Gardner
Jolene Gardner, 48, of the Weymouth Section of the Township of Hamilton, passed away in her home on Wednesday, February 1st. She will be remembered for her generous and kind spirit, as well as her quick-witted sense of humor.
Jolene grew up in Weymouth. She graduated from Oakcrest High School, in Mays Landing, in 1993. From there, she started her career in serving her community. Jolene was a proud Firefighter for the Weymouth Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad. She spent her life caring for the elderly, as a MedTech at Woodview Estates Assisted Living, in Mays Landing. In her spare time, Jolene enjoyed taking care of her pets and spending time with loved ones.
Jolene is survived by her mother Julia (nee Petroski), brother Joseph, and brother Frank. She is also leaving behind her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends, including her lifelong best friends Mickey and Kerry. Jolene is predeceased by her father Joseph, sister Audrey, and brother Jerry.
At this time a funeral will not be held. The family asks for privacy, as they plan a celebration of life that will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Atlantic County Humane Society in Jolene's name.
