Obituary for Josephine C. McDaniel
Josephine C. McDaniel, 88, of Brigantine, NJ sadly passed away on Sunday, February 19, surrounded by her children. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Francis and Josephine Higgins (nee Bender).
She is predeceased by her husband Herman L. McDaniel, her children Joseph J. Mareno Jr. and Kimberly (Floyd) Dorrego, grandchild Christopher and sister Garnetta Carberry.
Left to cherish her memory as a loving mother are Frances Mareno, Josephine “Phina” (Jodi) Eafrati, Salvatore Mareno, Antoinette Mareno. She is survived by her grandchildren: Floyd Jr, Joseph III, Nicole, Christina, Jodi-Lynn, Eagle, Antoinette, Ian, her sister Patricia Gianinni as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
"Josie” was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family may gather on Sunday, February 26th at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ from 12pm to 1:30pm to celebrate Josie’s life, where a service will be held at 1:30pm.
