Obituary for Kymberly M. Barry

Kymberly Mary Barry was born October 6, 1971 and left the world a darker place on May 15, 2021. She was affectionately known as Blondie, Mi-Mom, Kymmie, Mama Kym and “My Love.”

Kym spent her life in service of others. She worked nearly 25 years in the emergency medical field. She took pride in helping others in any capacity she could manage.

She was the life of the party and always had a smile on her face. Kym danced to the beat of her own drum. Her laugh was contagious and she had a wicked sense of humor.

Besides her husband and children, the great love of Kym’s life was her cats. Pete stayed with her until the very end.

Kym is survived by her husband of ten years, Sean; her daughter Amber, and grandchildren, Rylin, Kaleb, Keiran and Karli-Ann. She leaves behind her bonus children, Shane, Tristen, Liam and Megan. Kym is also survived by sister, Sharon and brother Patrick, along with sisters-in-law, Janine, Shannon and Tara as well as brothers-in-law, Brendan and Joe and her many nephews and nieces.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ, 08330. Another viewing will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 from 10am until 11am, with services to follow. Kym will be laid to rest at Atlantic County Verteran’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to Wounded Warrior Project or your local ASPCA.

To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever.
