Obituary for Linda J. Deutsch

Linda Jayne Deutsch,-72, passed peacefully in her sleep, at her home, on March 5th, 2021.

She was born in Philadelphia and worked for over 20 years as a bus driver for the Egg Harbor Township school system. She was devoted to her family, an amazing baker, professional get-together comedian, and a beacon of light in the lives of everyone she interacted with. Her love for her family was immense, and her adoration for her children and grandchild will be forever cherished, and sorely missed. She was an avid knitter, baker, home chef, and an absolutely amazing grandmother. Her love of coffee, love of chocolate and the notion to "Eat Dessert First", will be forever remembered by her friends and family. She truly enjoyed experiencing joy with other people, and never hesitated to spread her infinite love as far as she could muster. Her quips, bed-time stories and songs will live on in the hearts of not only the children she had an impact on, but most of the students she drove to school for many years.

She is predeceased by her Parents, Charles and Gladys Eckert, and her beloved husband, Harold Deutsch. Survived by sister and her husband Jackie and Joe Carey of Medford; daughter and her husband, Brooke and James Waples of Pennsville; son and his wife, Charles and Ayessa Toler, of Falls Church, VA; and grandson Jordan Toler, of Egg Harbor Twp.

The love and adoration she shared with her family was so intense, she was constantly lighting up telling stories about her children's feats, and especially loved talking about, and showing everyone, her dog, Luna. Linda will be missed infinitely, and by a large number of people, but she will live on in all of our hearts.

Viewing will be held on Friday, March 12th 9:30 A.M.- 11:30 A.M, with services at 11:30 at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St, Mays Landing, NJ. Her internment will be Monday at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery with a private ceremony for immediate family @ 11:30. Social distancing and masks are required for attendance.
