Obituary for Lynda J. Pellegrino

Lynda J. Pellegrino (nee Macari), 63, of Cape May, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Monday, March 8, 2021. Lynda was born in Brooklyn, NY to John and Irma Macari on May 7, 1957 and was one of nine brothers and sisters. A longtime resident of Freehold, NJ she devoted her life to her children, leaving her position at Brochiers Trading Company in New York when her first child was born.

She was an incredible woman who adored her children and grandson and always put everyone before herself. She was an amazing cook who loved to take care of everyone and wore many hats. She is survived by her children, Tara VanSeters (Thomas) and Erin Pellegrino, her grandson Riley, brother Robert, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Lynda is predeceased by her father John (Macari), four brothers Peter, John, Joseph, and Larry, and three sisters Francine, Angela and Constance.

An avid gardener, lover of nature and plants Lynda will be returning to the Earth in a green burial. Family and friends are welcome to join in an outside service, Friday, March 12 at 2pm at Steelmantown Natural Cemetery, 101 Steelmantown Road, Woodbine, New Jersey 08270.

In lieu of cut flowers, my sister Tara Lyn VanSeters and I would like to plant whatever is sent, or ask you to simply plant something beautiful for you to enjoy, in her honor.

If you would like us to plant it, below is her final resting place. Anything sent will be planted here within the wooded setting where she will be laid to rest.
