Obituary for Mark A. Thompson

Mark Anthony Thompson was born on February 1, 1987, in Vineland, New Jersey. Our beloved son, devoted father, brother, family member and dear friend, departed this life suddenly on March 1, 2023, at the young age of 36. He is survived by his best friend, his first love his Mother Dale Thompson and Father Wilber Thompson of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Mark graduated from Egg Harbor Township High School. He was employed at the Woodbine Development Center for 9 years as a Therapy Aide. Mark was saved and loved the Lord! He was a member of Heavensway Baptist Church of Egg Harbor Township New Jersey, under the Pastoral Leadership of Rev. John Mack. A True Dallas Cowboys fan, Mark loved spending time with his family and friends just watching the games. Mark was an outgoing, fun guy who loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting, to name just a few. Spending time with family meant the world to him, a devoted father, his children were his EVERTHING!!!!! Mark was the life of the party, dancing was his thing! An overall fun guy and to know him was to Love Him!

To carry on his Legacy are his children Mark Jr. (affectionately known as Marky) and his princess Iris. Survived by his parents, Wilber and Dale Thompson; siblings, Myer Thompson, Shane Thompson, Wilber Thompson Jr, Chenita Brooke (Paul), Tamiko Thompson-Goldson (Mike), Tia Thompson-Gallegos (Cesar), and Kimberly Stockton; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Mark was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Wilber and Alberta Thompson and maternal grandparents, Julius and Exie Jeffers.

A service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Heavensway Baptist Church, 5082 Tremont Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey 08234.
