Obituary for Michael F. Robison Sr.

Robison, Michael F. Sr., 48, of Mays Landing, passed away on November 1, 2022 at Inspira Hospital Mullica Hill.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mike moved to Weymouth as a young adult. This is where he started his commitment to public safety by joining the Weymouth Vol. Fire Company, and eventually becoming a Lifetime Member. Mike also was a trained EMT serving on the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad where he was a Past Chief and Lifetime Member.

In 1994 Mike began his career with the Township of Hamilton Police Department, first as a dispatcher, then a Class II Officer and a full time Police Officer in 2000. He was assigned to the Detective Bureau where he handled and solved numerous cases, not only in the township but all-over South Jersey. Detective Robison retired from the Police Department in July 2021.

During his time with the Police Department, Mike was honored with 7 lifesaving awards, 5 Exceptional Service Medals, 10 Certificates of Appreciation, and over 40 accommodations. He was twice awarded the VFW Officer of the Year.

Outside of work Mike enjoyed spending time with his boys, watching and cheering on the Philly sports teams, and his early morning bike rides on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles Robison and Patricia Gendreau; his sister, Kathleen Robison; and twin brother and wife, Matthew and Kim Robison.

Mike leaves behind his two sons: Michael Jr. and Nicholas; his siblings: Brian Robison and Colleen Robison; his step father, Patrick Gendreau; and his Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11am at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, with a viewing from 9am until time of the Mass. Burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
