Patrick J. Kelly
Born: September 5, 1949
Passed: December 4, 2020
With the sudden passing of our beloved Pat, who would often say, “This is no dress rehearsal, you get one chance at life, make the most of it” and he did. He enjoyed life and spent his free time doing what he loved; spending time with family and friends as well as being in nature, Hunting, Fishing or riding his motorcycle. He passed suddenly of a heart attack while Hunting that big elusive buck with his friend, Ed. We should all be so lucky to pass without pain or suffering, while actively doing something we love.
Pat was an active member of the American Legion Riders; Post 352, Atlantic County Harley Davidson and was a Mason Belcher at Lodge 180. He also volunteered with Tails Up Paws Down Rescue which is a non-profit dog rescue that his daughter Lisa began in 2019 and is president & founder of.
Pat was a resident of Atlantic County, New Jersey most of his life. He was employed with the New Jersey State Police for 30 years prior to retiring and becoming “the hardest working retired person we ever met”.
He is survived by his wife Pat, daughter, Lisa (son-in-law Joe), his sisters, Marianne & Kathleen as well as nieces and a nephew. He is pre-deceased by his brother, Jack. Additionally, he is survived by his close friends Fred and Steve who he referred to as his brothers. We will forever miss your presence, love, support and most of all, your HUGS.
We will have a celebration of life in Pat’s honor and remembrance in the future when we can gather safely outdoors in larger numbers.
If you would like to make a donation in Pat’s honor or memory, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion Riders or Tails Up Paws Down Rescue.
