Obituary for Rosetta L. Gambino
Rosetta (DeFalco) Gambino, 97, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2023 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of Vineland. Rosetta is predeceased by her parents Louis and Anna (Abromaitis) DeFalco, her sisters Camille "Bunny" Burris and Lucille Wiorek, and her husband of 54 years, Peter Gambino.
She is survived by her brother Joe DeFalco; brother-in-law Tony (Roz) Gambino; daughters Cheryl (Arnie) Farrow and Lisa Gambino; grandchildren Melissa Inferrera and John Inferrera IV and great granddaughter Ariya Rose Inferrera; along with several nieces and nephews. Her family would also like to acknowledge her loving caregivers Joann, Josie, and Virginia.
Rosetta was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, listening to music of her era and a Philadelphia Phillies season ticket holder for the past 6 years. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Everyone who knew her called her "MomMom."
A church visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1st from 9:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am at Divine Mercy Parish, 23 West Chestnut Ave, Vineland, NJ. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to be made to NJ Health Hospice, 415 W. Landis Ave, Vineland, NJ 08360 or Promedica (Heartland) Hospice, 2111 New Road, Suite 100, Northfield, NJ 08225.
