Obituary for Victoria L. Johnson
Victoria Lynn Johnson, nee Doherty, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023, at Penn Medicine Hospital in Philadelphia. Vickie was born in Somers Point and lived in Atlantic County all her life. She was 54 years old when she died, after battling cancer for the past three years.
Vickie had a lifelong love of horses. She worked as a trail guide when she was a teenager and bought her first horse when she was 16. She has owned horses all of her life.
Vickie was a hockey mom and very active in ice hockey for the last 25 years. Most currently supporting her two sons and AC Sharks Team.
Vickie has worked as a thoroughbred groomer, a WaWa store manager, and a school bus driver. Her primary lifelong job was as a mom to her five children

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kelchner; and her children, Daniel Kramer, Lauren Kramer, Jeremy Johnson, Vivian Kelchner, and Jackson Kelchner. She is also survived by her mother Jayne Doherty and nieces, Victoria Lloyd, Michaela Lloyd and Alexandria Lloyd; as well as her aunt Lynn Chalmers and cousin Britt Chalmers.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing NJ, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Reflections will be 1 to 1:30 PM. A reception will be held at the Cardiff Firehouse, 6609 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township immediately following.
